Robert J. Jageman, 89, of Kittanning, died Tuesday, April 8, 2014 at Kittanning Care Center.

He was born August 5, 1924 in Ford City, PA, the son of Leo and Grace Jageman.

Robert was a lifetime resident of the area and honorably served in the US Army during World War II. He was a plant operator for Carpentertown Coal and Coke until his retirement in 1985 and was a member of St. Mary, Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. In his spare time, Robert enjoyed searching for special antiques, hunting and spending time outdoors.

He will be deeply missed by his sons, Robert L. Jageman, of Edwardsville, PA, and David Jageman and wife, Vicki, of Fenelton; grandchildren, Erik Jageman and wife, Erica, of Freeport, and Jacalyn Jageman, of Kittanning; and great-grandchildren, Hayle and Katelyn Jageman.

He was preceded in death by his parents; loving wife, Joan K. "Jenny" Jageman, whom he married January 10, 1950 and who died May 10, 2007; brother, Jim Jageman; and sister, Joan Brown.

Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 PM on Friday, April 11, 2014 at the Bauer Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 515 N. McKean Street, Kittanning, PA.

Additional visitation will be held from 9 AM until the time of funeral liturgy at 10 AM on Saturday, April 12, 2014 at the funeral home, with the Reverend Douglas E. Dorula as celebrant.

Burial will be at St. Mary Cemetery, Kittanning, PA.
