Charles L. "Chuck" Lasher

Charles L. "Chuck" Lasher, 69, of Templeton, PA, passed away Sunday, August 10, 2014, at his residence surrounded by his family.

He was born June 5, 1945 in Cowansville, PA, the son of Donald and Pauline (Talliere) Lasher.

Chuck lived in the Kittanning area all of his life and graduated from Kittanning High School in 1965. He worked as a guard at the Armstrong County Jail and was a lifetime member of Kittanning Hose Company #6 with 48 years of service. Chuck enjoyed playing cards with his friends at the fire hall and also liked watching the Steelers and Penguins. His grandchildren were very important to him and he frequently bonded with them while taking them hunting and fishing. Chuck loved traveling with his wife, Norene, and together they went on many camping trips. Making friends came easily to him and his laughter was infectious. Chuck will be best remembered for his dedication to his family and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

His memory will be cherished by his loving wife of 46 years, Norene J. (Beabout) Lasher, whom he married December 16, 1967; sons, Charles O. Lasher, of Templeton, and Michael S. Lasher and wife, Erin, of Kittanning; daughter, Tammy L. Reitler and husband, David, of Kittanning; grandchildren, Joshua, Jessica and Jeremy "Buck" Reitler, Charles and Brandon Lasher, Elliot and Amanda Rush, and Rachel and Zane Lasher; great-grandchildren, Hunter, Hayden, Lilly, Corey and Riley; brother, Donald Lasher and wife, Sue, of Kittanning; sisters, Katherine Bowser, of Kittanning, and Margaret Hunter, of Vandergrift; sisters-in-law, Yvonne Lasher, of Cowansville, and Shirley Titus, of Kittanning; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Robert and Edward Lasher; and sister, Janet Lasher.

The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 7-9 PM on Wednesday, August 13, 2014, at the Bauer Funeral Home, 515 N. McKean Street, Kittanning, PA.

Additional visitation will be from 10 AM until the time of funeral service at 11 AM on Thursday, August 14, 2014, at the funeral home, with the Rev. Donald Breghenti officiating.

Burial will be in Cochran Cemetery, Templeton, PA.
