Miriam A. Cashdollar

Miriam A. Cashdollar, 76, of Shelocta, PA, passed away Friday, August 29, 2014 at Indiana Regional Medical Center.

She was born December 26, 1937 in Plumcreek Twp., Armstrong Co., PA, the daughter of Kenneth Schall and Helen (Smeltzer) Galinas.

Miriam was a lifetime resident of the area and married Raymond T. Cashdollar on June 30, 1956. She was a member of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church where she was a faithful volunteer and also served as the bookkeeper for many years. Miriam loved caring for her home and family, and in her spare time enjoyed tending to her flower gardens. Family was paramount in her life and she cherished the time spent with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews.

She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Raymond T. Cashdollar; daughter, Rae Ann Hollis and husband, William, of Apollo; grandchildren, Jessica Dudek and husband, Adam, and Bill Hollis and wife, Kristi; great-grandchildren, Shannon Dudek, Jonothan Shelkey, Matthew Rametta, and Breanna and Brayden Hollis; brother, Kenneth Schall and wife, Helen, of Rural Valley; sisters-in-law, Florence McClanahan, of Fairview, June Walker, of Shelocta, and Eileen Schall, of Shelocta; and brother-in-law, Robert Cashdollar, of Shelocta.

Miriam was preceded in death by her parents; step-father, Albert "Whitey" Galinas; step-mother, Eleanor Schall; son, Barry Albert Cashdollar, who died in 2007; and brother, Edward Schall.

Relatives and friends may visit from 2-4 and 7-9 PM on Tuesday, September 2, 2014 at Clark Chapel of the Bauer Funeral Home, Inc., 238 South Main Street, Elderton, PA.

Additional visitation will be from 10 AM until the time of services at 11 AM on Wednesday, September 3, 2014, at Mt. Zion United Methodist Church, 449 Girty Rd., Shelocta, with the Rev. Ernie DeLuca officiating.

Burial will be in Mt. Zion United Methodist Cemetery, Shelocta, PA.
