Luella Lorraine Adams

Luella Lorraine Adams, 85, of Sligo, PA, formerly of Kaylor, PA, passed away Wednesday, July 27, 2016, at Clarion Hospital.

She was born March 10, 1931 in Bradys Bend, Armstrong County, PA, the daughter of Charles H. and Mary L. (Garris) Kamerer.

Luella lived in the Kaylor area for most of her life and married Ernest Adams on October 6, 1951. She enjoyed watching soap operas, working on crossword puzzles and playing bingo, but above all she loved being with her family. Luella devoted her life to caring for those she loved and will be best remembered for being a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother.

Her memory will be cherished by her son, Charles R. Adams and wife, Penny, of Knox; daughters, Sally L. Welton, of Petrolia, and Nancy L. Stewart and husband, Duane, of Sligo; 31 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; sister, Laura Longdon, of Clarion; and daughter-in-law, Sheila L. Adams.

Luella was preceded in death by her parents; loving husband, Ernest Adams; son, Ernest Junior Adams; grandson, Randy Welton; one great-grandson; brother, Charles H. Kamerer, Jr.; sisters, Helen Welton, Bernice Flick, Kate Holliday and Ida Mae Long; two infant sisters; and son-in-law, Robert "Bob" Welton.

Friends will be received from 7-9 PM on Friday, July 29, 2016 at Bauer-Hillis Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc. 102 Argyle Street, Petrolia, PA.

Additional visitation will be from 11 AM until the time of funeral services at 1 PM on Saturday, July 30, 2016 at the funeral home, with Pastor Ryan Lucas officiating.

Interment will be in Bear Creek Cemetery, Petrolia, PA.
